Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to appoint the following individual to a key position in his Administration:

Tyler Beck Goodspeed of New Hampshire, to be a Member of the Council of Economic Advisers.

Dr. Tyler Beck Goodspeed currently serves on the Council of Economic Advisers as Chief Economist for Macroeconomic Policy.  Previously, he was on the Faculty of Economics at the University of Oxford and served as a Lecturer in Economics at King’s College London.  He has published extensively on the economic history of money and banking, with particular attention to the role of access to credit in mitigating the effects of adverse aggregate shocks and to the effective use of extended and contingent liability in banking.  Dr. Goodspeed received his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University, and M.Phil from the University of Cambridge.
