Today, President Donald J. Trump participated in the 27th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders virtual meeting, hosted by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin of Malaysia.  In his address, President Trump reaffirmed the commitment of the United States to building on our unprecedented economic recovery from COVID-19, as well as promoting peace and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region through strong economic growth.  President Trump and APEC leaders endorsed the APEC Putrajaya Vision 2040 that will make free and fair trade the focus of the APEC agenda for the next two decades.  President Trump also highlighted the global health leadership of the United States, including our successful development of safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines.
