Vice President Mike Pence had lunch today with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The leaders condemned the September 14 attack on vital oil and gas infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, and discussed Iran’s dangerous and destabilizing activities in the Middle East. The Vice President lauded Bahrain’s contributions towards promoting peace in the region, maritime security, and countering terrorism. The two leaders also participated in a signing ceremony for Bahrain’s recent purchase of Patriot surface-to-air missile system equipment.
