On Friday, December 21, 2018, the President signed into law:

H.R. 7213, the “Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Act of 2018,” which redesignates the Domestic Nuclear Detection Office of the Department of Homeland Security as the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office; and

S. 756, the “First Step Act of 2018,” which  provides for increased evidence-based recidivism reduction programming to reduce recidivism; reduces certain Federal mandatory minimum sentences; and reauthorizes several grant programs to improve reentry services.
