On Wednesday, October 21, 2020, the President signed into law:
S. 209, the “Practical Reforms and Other Goals To Reinforce the Effectiveness of Self-Governance and Self-Determination for Indian Tribes Act of 2019” or the “PROGRESS for Indian Tribes Act,” which amends the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act to provide further self-governance by Indian Tribes;
S. 881, the “Promoting Research and Observations of Space Weather to Improve the Forecasting of Tomorrow Act” or the “PROSWIFT Act,” which sets forth provisions aimed at improving the ability of the United States to forecast and mitigate the effects of space weather; and
S. 1380, the “Due Process Protections Act,” which requires the Federal judge in a criminal proceeding to issue an order confirming the obligation of the prosecutor to disclose exculpatory evidence.
