Made in America Roundtable

2 minute read

On Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence, along with Department of Labor Secretary Alex Acosta, Director of the White House Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro, and other members of the White House staff, hosted a Made in America Roundtable in the East Room of the White House.

President Trump welcomed 20 companies that manufacture their products in the United States to join him for a roundtable discussion to highlight the importance of manufacturing products in American factories, using American workers.

“We’re here today to continue our celebration of American manufacturing as part of Made in America Week.  The leaders and innovators around this table create the products that fill our homes, defend our nation, and enrich our lives. And each one of these products proudly carries the label, Made in the USA,” said the President.

Representatives Mike Kelly, Frank Lucas, Erik Paulsen, and Claudia Tenney also participated in the roundtable. Trump Administration officials and Congressmen spoke with the participating companies about how the Administration can help them continue to successfully manufacture products in the United States.

President Trump stated, “We’re more determined than ever to protect our jobs, our industry, and our workers. Every day we are putting America first.”

Today’s event is part of the White House’s Made in America Week. Earlier this week, the White House held its Made in America Product Showcase, inviting companies from all 50 states to Washington, D.C. to highlight their products that are made in the United States.
