President Donald J. Trump today announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key position in his Administration:

Geoffrey William Seiji Okamoto of California, to be Deputy Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Finance and upon confirmation to be designated as an Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for International Finance.

Mr. Okamoto currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Finance at the Treasury Department. Previously, Mr. Okamoto was Majority Staff Director for the Senate Banking Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Protection and Policy Director for the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Monetary Policy and Trade. He began his career as a consultant at KPMG. Mr. Okamoto earned his B.S. from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and his M.P.P. from Georgetown University.

  • Karen Kelly of New Jersey
  • Jayne H. Plank of the District of Columbia
