Vice President Mike Pence met today with Vice President Marta Lucia Ramirez of Colombia at the U.S. Department of State, where both leaders addressed a senior policy forum on the Americas. During their meeting, Vice President Pence reiterated the strong partnership between Colombia and the United States, and commended the Duque administration for its leadership across the region.  The two leaders discussed the crisis in Venezuela, including the destabilizing consequences of Maduro’s corrupt and illegitimate regime, and reaffirmed their support for the National Assembly’s efforts to restore democracy and constitutional order. The Vice President also underscored the fight against illegal drugs as a primary concern for the United States, commending the Duque administration for the significant progress it has made.
