On Sunday, August 13, Vice President Mike Pence departed for Colombia to begin his Latin America trip where he will be meeting with leaders from government and the business community in Colombia, Argentina, Chile, and Panama. After landing in Cartagena, Colombia, the Vice President met with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos. The two leaders talked about how the drug crisis requires swift action to protect the people of both nations. President Santos and Vice President Pence also discussed the implementation of Colombia’s historic peace accord and building the trade and economic relationship.
