President Trump Arrives in Israel

On Monday, May 22, President Trump arrived in Israel and was welcomed by President Rivlin of Israel. Shortly after arriving, President Trump and President Rivlin delivered remarks. President Rivlin proclaimed, “we are happy to see, America is back in the area, America is back again.”

President Trump thanked President Rivlin for welcoming him and First Lady Melania Trump to Israel and declared, “I have come to this ancient land to reaffirm the enduring friendship between the United States and the State of Israel.”

President Trump also spoke of strengthening the partnership between America and Israel saying, “the United States and Israel can also bring safety and greater prosperity to our people through stronger ties of trade and commerce.”

President Trump will be in Israel all day today and will visit with Prime Minister Netanyahu later in the afternoon. The President also visited the Western Wall to pray and to place a prayer in the wall. President Trump is the first sitting President to visit the Western Wall.
